AWS Backup

AWS Backup enables you to centralize and automate data protection across AWS services. AWS Backup offers a cost-effective, fully managed, policy-based service that further simplifies data protection at scale. AWS Backup also helps you support your regulatory compliance or business policies for data protection. Together with AWS Organizations, AWS Backup enables you to centrally deploy data protection policies to configure, manage, and govern your backup activity across your organization’s AWS accounts and resources, including Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2) instances, Amazon Elastic Block Store (Amazon EBS) volumes, Amazon Relational Database Service (Amazon RDS) databases (including Amazon Aurora clusters), Amazon DynamoDB tables, Amazon Elastic File System (Amazon EFS) file systems, Amazon FSx for Lustre file systems, Amazon FSx for Windows File Server file systems, and AWS Storage Gateway volumes.

 

Cloud Native Backup

AWS Backup provides a centralized console to automate and manage backups across AWS services. AWS Backup supports Amazon EBS, Amazon RDS, Amazon DynamoDB, Amazon EFS, Amazon FSx, Amazon EC2, and AWS Storage Gateway, to enable you to backup key data stores, such as your storage volumes, databases, and file systems. Operisoft team can help you in setting up all this Cloud Native backup with implementing automation.

Hybrid backup

Integration with Storage Gateway, a hybrid storage service that enables your on-premises applications to seamlessly use AWS Cloud storage. You can use AWS Backup to back up your application data stored in AWS Storage Gateway volumes. Backups of AWS Storage Gateway volumes are securely stored in the AWS Cloud and integrated with your On premise infrastructure. This also allows you to apply the same backup policies to both your AWS Cloud resources and your on-premises data stored on AWS Storage Gateway volumes.

Lifecycle management policies

AWS Backup enables you to meet compliance requirements while minimizing backup storage costs by storing backups in a low-cost cold storage tier. You can configure lifecycle policies that will automatically transition backups from warm storage to cold storage according to a schedule that you define.

Backup data encryption

Operisoft team will take care of implementing AWS Backup services which encrypts your backup data at rest and in transit, providing a comprehensive encryption solution that secures your backup data and helps meet compliance requirements. AWS Backup encrypts your backup data using encryption keys managed by the AWS Key Management Service (KMS), eliminating the need to build and maintain a key management infrastructure.

Cross-Region backup

Sometimes client needs to enable copying backups across multiple AWS services to different regions. This can be done from a central console using AWS backup and we can help you doing the same. This makes it easier to meet compliance and disaster recovery needs. Customers can also recover from those backups in the new Region, reducing the risk of downtime and ensuring DR for business continuity.

To start with, you can create a backup plan defining parameters such as how frequently to back up your resources and how long to store those backups. Our team will help you assigning the resources you want to backup. AWS Backup will start automatically backing up these resources and managing backup retention on your behalf.
